Tether Hires Ex-White House Crypto Director Bo Hines for US Push
Tether Limited, the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, has appointed Bo Hines, former executive director of the White House crypto Council under President Donald Trump, as its new Strategic Advisor for Digital Assets and U.S. Strategy. Hines will immediately begin overseeing regulatory and expansion efforts in the United States.
His role includes driving Tether's U.S. strategy and collaborating with leadership on expansion initiatives. The company highlighted his policy expertise and private sector insights, noting his prior work in advancing digital asset innovation and stablecoin regulation during his WHITE House tenure.
CEO Paolo Ardoino emphasized Hines' legislative acumen and blockchain advocacy as pivotal for Tether's entry into the U.S. market. The appointment signals Tether's broader ambitions, including potential infrastructure investments.
